Punta Cana – Beautiful, Affordable Caribbean Beach Holiday

After 7 hours of driving through heavy rain from Samana, navigating through 100’s of pot holes, life slowly become beautiful 4 lanes highway passing through sugar cane plantations just as we get closer to Punta Cana. Dictated by more developed highway infrastructure, we can easily assume that we were approaching a piece of mass tourism. After working days gone by week navigating within the remote northern portion of Dominican Republic, my husband was all set for a bit of civilization and luxury. The fun and fun adventures of busting 2 tires, digging car from a sand pit, and using our broken Spanish to obtain locals in order to help quickly begin a defunct battery, began to wear us down and then we were positioned for a prospect.
